In the old days, the darbaar was the royal court, and it belonged to kings. But we believe the real kings of this country were always standing in the fields. They are the farmers who rise before sunrise, walk behind the plough and the ox, and work through heat, rain and uncertainty to feed millions of people they will never meet. They rarely get a crown or a court. So we decided to give the darbaar back to them.
That is why a crowned farmer stands on our emblem, with his bull and his plough, under the arch of a royal court. It is our reminder, and our promise to you, that Farmers are true Kings.
Rice has been part of our family for generations. We have seen it as a business, but also as something more: the grain on every Indian plate, in every kitchen, at every celebration. Over the years we learned a simple truth. Rice is only as good as the hands that grew it, and the care it receives before it reaches you.
Indian Darbaar was not born from a single idea. Each of our three founders came to it by a different path, shaped by experience, a promise or a challenge. Every one of those stories is different, and every one is worth telling.
We start with the source. Our basmati comes from the Punjab, Haryana and Uttarakhand belt, and our Sona Masoori and Kala Namak from the UP belt.
Behind it all is one rule we never bend: if it isn't fit for our own kitchen, it doesn't go into the pack.
Whether it is a simple dal-chawal on a weekday or a festive meal with the whole family around the table, we want Indian Darbaar to be the rice you trust without a second thought.
From our fields to your table, welcome to the Darbaar.
